Under the Toque: Gordon Ramsay Gets Animated (Literally, This Time); Susur Lee Goes Pan-Asian


Gordon Ramsay is teaming up with Toronto-based animation house Cuppa Coffee Studios, makers of Celebrity Deathmatch, to star in his own stop-motion animation series. Gordon Ramsay, at Your Service will take “the essence of who he is and have a bit of fun with it.”

Mario Batali will host “Magic, Martinis, and Mario” at Del Posto next Wednesday, a fundraiser for the Mario Batali Foundation, which funds various children’s programs. REM, Mike D from the Beastie Boys, and Maggie Gyllenhaal are slated to attend.

The latest in the ongoing lawsuit between Mr. Chow and Philippe Chow involves “new allegations of harassment and threatening acts against MR CHOW,” and claims that Philippe has tried to lure Mr. Chow employees using inappropriate means.

Canadian transplant Susur Lee will introduce sushi to the menu at his upscale Chinese restaurant, Shang, in the Thompson LES in the next couple of weeks. He is also planning a new dim sum program.
