Few things are as universally beloved as hot, stuffed carbohydrates, and tomorrow, the very first NYC Dumpling Festival will do its part to help spread the love. Dumplings of the world, from Polish pierogies to Chinese bao, will be amply represented. Included in the festivities will be the sixth annual Chef One Dumpling Gorging Eating Contest, which will take place at 1 p.m. It’ll all go down from noon til 5 p.m. in Sara D. Roosevelt Park on Houston between Forsythe and Chrystie. Expect subsequent photo documentation on FiTR, courtesy of Our Man Sietsema.
