On Saturday morning a guy walked into the Chase Bank at Westchester Avenue between Southern Boulevard and Simpson Street in The Bronx, placed a “device” in front of the teller’s window, and passed a note saying he would blow it up if they didn’t give him money. They gave him money and he fled. The device turned out to be a fake.
The man is believed to be in his 30s, 6 feet tall, of heavy build and dark skin color, with a scruffy beard and mustache. He was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans, a black-and-white baseball cap, and black sunglasses at the time of the incident.
