Scott Grooves may not be quite as famous as some of his Detroit peers, but he’s worked with the likes of Roy Ayers and George Clinton and can bump out the deeper side of techno as well as anyone. This South Williamsburg loft party offers New Yorkers their first live, in-the-flesh chance to hear him transmute the joys of Motown and early house into his own techier compounds.
