Ratha Chaupoly and Scott Burnett of Kampuchea are branching out — once again. The duo has already successfully launched a sandwich spin-off of their Cambodian noodle joint, and now plans to expand the original Lower East Side space into the storefront next door.
The new space, dubbed The Norry at Kampuchea (named for Cambodia’s homemade bamboo trains), will be a 750-square-foot appendage to the existing restaurant. Chaupoly and Burnett will continue to serve up their signature Cambodian street fare, but will also be adding new items to the menu. The Norry is set to open in early 2010.
