Tipsy Parson, Chelsea’s recently opened New Southern spot, has just started serving breakfast and lunch this week. For now, breakfast is counter-service only, and limited to homemade pastries and Stumptown coffee. A sit-down breakfast with a larger menu is planned for next week. The lunch menu keeps it simple: a burger, tea sandwiches, soup and salads.
Meanwhile, just south of Tipsy Parson, in the West Village, En Japanese Brasserie has just started serving lunch, including a tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) sandwich with sweet red miso sauce, fried chicken with homemade tofu and Japanese pickles, and unadon–grilled sea eel over rice.
