A Craft-y Thanksgiving
Sure, it’s not mom’s green bean casserole. But you could do worse than Tom Colicchio’s Thanksgiving dinner ($115). An amuse-bouche of spiced pumpkin soup with creme fraiche and pumpkin seed oil will be followed by roasted Nantucket Bay scallops with black truffle, then a roasted organic Eberly Farms turkey with a selection of family-style sides.
A Very Portuguese Turkey Day at Aldea
They may not celebrate Thanksgiving in Portugal, but that hasn’t stopped George Mendes from designing a T-day menu with all the Iberian-influenced fixin’s ($75). The menu includes foie gras terrine with Locust Grove Farms quince, vanilla, and spices, his signature shrimp alhinho, and an Ashley Farms turkey with chorizo-brioche stuffing.
David Burke Townhouse’s T-Day
David Burke is celebrating the holidays at his newly reopened flagship restaurant with a three-course menu ($75) of butternut squash soup with Belize shrimp, pecan pie ravioli, and gingerbread-spiced rack of lamb with lavender-butternut squash puree. Desserts include a pumpkin dome.
