Taking a page from Restaurants & Institutions’s 20 Menu Trends for 2010, Epicurious has squinted into its own crystal ball to see what food trends we’ll be swallowing down during the next 12 months.
Mini whoopie pies, lamb, immunity-boosting diets, Vancouver, and potlucks are all on the roster. So are butchers and fried chicken, which seem a bit, well, 2009. But maybe that’s just because we’d like to envision a future where men and women who wield cleavers aren’t weighted with a retinue of groupies and the burden of media-generated hyperbole.
