Dir. Carl Reiner (1970).
The Producer’s rival as the most outrageous example of Hollywood’s short lived “Jew wave” features George Segal as a nice young Manhattan lawyer burdened with a nightmarish senile mother (Ruth Gordon). Where’s Poppa? is less a movie than a series of slapstick riffs in which each dreamlike scene ends in psychosexual hyperbole.
