LOCATION: 4321 Furman Ave., The Bronx.
The police want the public’s help in finding the man who shot a 30-year-old Bronx woman early last week. The victim, Lakisha Scriven, of Furman Avenue was shot once in the head in front of her children. She was declared dead at Jacobi Hospital.
Scriven, who worked for the city’s foster care agency, was loading her two daughters into her SUV on the way to drop them off at school when the suspect shot her in the back of the head. Early reports stated that detectives were questioning her ex-boyfriend in connection with the slaying.
The Daily News reported last week that Scriven had forced her boyfriend to move out of the home following months of arguing. There had been two police visits to the home for domestic disturbances since 2003, the News reported.
The boyfriend, however, has not been arrested. And police appear to be looking for someone else. Anyone with information on the case can call 1-800-577-TIPS. There is a $12,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Scriven’s killer.
