Every year, one of the warmest tributes to Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and legacy is held at BAM, when the arts institution opens its doors for a free day of screenings, music, and talks. Today, veteran actor and activist Danny Glover is the keynote speaker for the 24th annual Brooklyn Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.—Come Share the Dream. Also, catch inspiration performances by the New Life Tabernacle Mass Choir and Kenny Muhammad the Human Orchestra and, throughout the day, free screenings of Soundtrack for a Revolution, the acclaimed documentary about the American civil rights movement, including songs by the Roots, TV on the Radio, and John Legend.
