Ardesia’s Amorette Casaus Unleashes Happy Hour, Prix Fixe

Last week, we talked with Ardesia chef Amorette Casaus about the challenges of tiny kitchens, the joys of sherry and pancetta, and just how bad the movie Nine was.

This week, Casaus is launching a prix fixe that’s actually something of a bargain.

On Monday and Tuesday nights, eaters can choose two small plates and a glass of wine or beer for $20. Food options include weisswurst with homemade sauerkraut and bread, chicken liver mousse with apple compote, salt cod cakes with caper remoulade, and pork belly with apple salad.

Wine choices include a sparkling rose, a red from Spain’s Priorat appellation, and a Pinot Bianco from Alto Adige in Italy, among others. On the beer list, two are local favorites: Six Point Bengali IPA and Blue Point Toasted Lager.

Weekday nights, a happy hour from 5-7 allows glasses of wine for $6 and beer for $5.
