Jeffrey Chodorow Plots Basque Restaurant


If we’ve learned anything from Kurve, it’s that futuristic restaurants look silly. But Florence Fabricant brings news of a Basque restaurant with “futuristic decor.” It’s a Jeffrey Chodorow project opening this fall in the Eventi Hotel (839 Sixth Avenue).

More promisingly, there will also be a collection of food stands, dubbed Food Parc, occupying part of the hotel and its outdoor plaza. Ed Schoenfeld is a consultant, and among the offerings will be dim sum from RedFarm, the soon-to-open West Village American-Asian restaurant from chef Joe Ng.
