This is insanity! I mean, yeah, I liked Viv well enough in Look Up and Laugh and Storm in a Teacup, and I like that Olivier kid she’s dating, but that doesn’t qualify her for the juiciest role in screen history. There’s no way the little upstart can handle this mammoth assignment of melodrama, sweep, and romance, and bring it the fiery star power it requires.
