Fette Sau’s Joe Carroll will Debut St. Anselm Next Month


Good news for those awaiting the delayed opening of St. Anselm, the latest addition to his Fette Sau-Spuyten Duyvil empire: it’s going to open sometime next month.

Off the Presses brings word that Carroll’s new establishment, which is located next to Spuyten Duyvil, will focus more on food than its beer-swilling neighbor does. Carroll tells the blog that the menu will comprise “a mix of high-brow, low-brow stuff” like burgers, dogs, and “old school diner, blue-plate special things. A lot of offal, a lot of organ meat dishes, and a pretty sizable wine list.” Other, lovingly barbecued animal parts will be available across the street at Fette Sau, of course.
