Both parties have tons of rich contributors representing nearly every U.S. industry. Now that SCOTUS has ruled that corporations, which heretofore had to make their feelings known via “issue ads” and cats-paws like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, can just step right up and say, “Hartford Insurance endorses Joe Lieberman for the U.S. Senate,” we will at least know who’s brainwashing us.
Yeah, some awful people endorse the decision. But if the facts are cruel, they are nonetheless facts. This best opponents can do is make sure the contributor disclosures, which the Court preserved, are well-publicized. Knowledge isn’t much of a match for propaganda, but if that bothers you, why are you living in America in the first place?
