Unless you possess psychedelic head-extension powers (or bought tickets in advance), you will not be attending Yeasayer’s sold out show at the Bowery Ballroom. To salvage this situation, head to Galapagos for Foreplays, a “seductive night” of theater and film, not to mention music by Quiet Loudly, who plans to perform the “most soulful and titillating love songs of all time,” including jams from Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, and Al Green. The other, less subtle alternative is to have your ears beaten silly by the chugging riffage of Them Crooked Vultures at Roseland Ballroom. At least you know their songs now.
