Heartbreak Cocktails
Bar Henry
Valentine’s weekend

All this talk of romance can be sickening if you’re single. Drown your sorrows with a lonely hearts-themed cocktail, such as the chocolaty Mole Alejandro garnished with fresh seasonal berries dipped in chocolate (take that, swimsuit season); the zingy Scarlet Swing, topped with fresh and candied rose petals (who needs a bouquet?); or the tart Heartbreak in Padova, with gin, grapefruit-infused sambuca, and a heart-shaped grapefruit garnish (that’s right, wallow, sweet singleton).

Valentine’s Day Massacre Menu
Employees Only
Valentine’s weekend

While your couple friends are off in la-la-land, celebrate the 14th with a morbid Valentine’s Day Massacre Menu, an homage to the Prohibition-era gang-related murder that took place on February 14, 1929. Chef Julia Jaksic will prepare a $65 four-course prix-fixe inspired by popular dishes from 1929, including roasted oysters, deviled crab and egg, lobster Newburg, and cherry jubilee. Expect special old-timey cocktails for the occasion, too.

Chocolate, Desserts & Wine Tour
starts at West 72nd Street & Broadway
now through February 28

City Food Tours is offering its sweets-themed tour of the Upper West Side for a special price for couples this month. For $99 for two (regularly priced at $54.50 per person), you get to see and taste the best artisanal chocolate truffles, fresh-baked cookies, pastries, gelato, breads, cheeses, and wines to be found in the neighborhood. Don’t worry about them calories… you’ll be walking them off.
