Long-haired rocker Andrew W.K., perhaps best known for his party jams and provocative album covers (like when he was all bloody on the cover of 2001’s I Get Wet), is certainly a confusing dude. W.K., who is also the co-owner of the super-fun Santos’ Party House and did some motivational speaking tours a few years back, made a statement on his website last month to answer all those who say his persona was manufactured by record-industry types looking to make money: “I am a real person who thinks for himself and am not the victim of anyone or any group of people trying to influence my career or life.” Well, if that doesn’t settle it for you, tonight, you can find out who Andrew W.K. really is at Ask Andrew W.K. Anything, a Q&A and party in honor of his latest album Close Calls With Brick Walls, due out next month. Here are a couple of things off the top of my head that I am dying to know: What’s with the all-white outfits? And was that you at the Bedford stop Saturday night, say, at about midnight?
