After declaring bankruptcy last year, Olana has finally closed. A staff member says the restaurant rallied, but could not negotiate an affordable enough rent with the landlord.

Argo Tea Cafe has opened in Chelsea, serving more than 30 loose-leaf teas, as well as Fairtrade coffee and a menu of small food items.

Mode Bistro has opened in the space formerly occupied by Noodle Studio in Williamsburg. Chef Jenni Brooks will turn out American and French staples.
