An intimate portrait of a man who has difficulty with relationships, Chereau’s most recent examination of sexual obsession concerns the travails of Daniel (pouty Romain Duris), a layabout construction worker resentful of his career-woman girlfriend who won’t commit to him. His life gets complicated by the home invasion of a lunatic queer stalker unconditionally in love with him. Daniel becomes both persecuted and persecutor in this compelling drama.
