Here’s a participant sport not for the weak of heart—or legs: Today, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is sponsoring their Climb to the Top of the Rock to raise funds to help more than 10,000 New York City and Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange, and Sullivan county residents affected by multiple sclerosis—a disease of the central nervous system that has no known cause or cure. Their mission: “66 Flights of Stairs, an Unbelievable View, a World Free of MS.” Individuals or teams climb to the Rockefeller Center Observation Deck. Start times between 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. are assigned, registration fee is $50 with a fundraising minimum of $250
