Sandra Bullock, Roy’s prediction for this year’s Best Actress Oscar (TM), was the top individual winner of the 30th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards last night, walking away with both Worst Actress and half of Worst Screen Couple. Bullock, who shamelessly campaigned for her award by offering to show up if she won, was also the producer of the movie which contained her double-award-winning performance, All About Steve. She gave out DVDs at the ceremony.
Other multiple winners: Transformers, for Worst Picture, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay; and the Jonas Brothers as the collective Worst Actor.
In other categories:
The mature, fatherly dreadfulness of Billy Ray Cyrus playing his daughter’s father in the Hannah Montana movie shut out the grandfatherly dreadfulness of Hugh Hefner and the disheveled undead charms of Robert Pattinson to take Worst Supporting Actor.
Sienna Miller took down Candice Bergen and Julie White (as Mom) for Worst Supporting Actress
Land of the Lost, which started the evening with 7 nominations, was almost shut out, with only one award in the (highly competitive) Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel category, which admittedly contained both a Twilight movie, the evening’s Worst Picture winner, and Pink Panther 2 (A Rip-Off of a Sequel to a Remake).
Special awards went to Battleship Earth, which won 8 out of its 10 nominations back in 2000, as Worst Picture of the Decade; Eddie Murphy, as Worst Actor of the Decade; and Paris Hilton, as Worst Actress of the Decade.
