Award-winning music video director Aswad Ayinde was charged last week with repeatedly raping and impregnating his daughters in an effort to create a pure bloodline.
Ayinde, 51, won an MTV Music Video Award back in the day for his genius direction of The Fugees’ “Killing Me Softly” video.
Residing in Paterson, N.J., Ayinde is now an alleged serial breeder, having fathered six children by his daughters sometime between the mid-1980’s to 2002. Prosecutors say Ayinde actually delivered the babies he fathered by his daughters.
And he must have liked to make babies: Ayinde had nine children by his ex-wife, and at least three more children with two different women living in Brooklyn. That’s twelve kids, not counting the six he had by his own daughters. The total is at least 18, by court records counts. At some point, he allegedly identified his now adult daughters in public as “his wives.”
His ex-wife, Beverly Ayinde, testified in a pretrial hearing that “He said the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen.”
Ayinde was charged with 27 counts, including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, lewdness, child endangerment, aggravated criminal sexual contact and criminal sexual contact.
