Where else can you stuff your face with obscene amounts of juicy steak cuts and wash it all down with never-ending pitchers of McSorley’s Light and Dark Ale, but at the Brooklyn Beefsteak? Today, come with an appetite and prepare to lick your fingers (you’ll be eating with your hands) for this all-you-can-eat event at the Bell House in Brooklyn. Resurrected from the 1880s, this beef-and-beer tradition was popular among Tammany Hall politicians, who used the feast to buy votes. This tasty celebration will be complemented with live music by Susquehanna Industrial Tool & Die Company—and don’t forget the eating contest!
