Jolie Holland+Rain Machine

Holland sidled away from the hushed chamber-folk sound of her first few releases toward something bigger and brighter on 2008’s The Living and the Dead, which didn’t always give her remarkable vocals the room they need to shine. Perhaps she’ll stay out of her own way tonight. Rain Machine is TV on the Radio dude Kyp Malone’s typically atmospheric solo thing.
