Tonight! Lucky Chops, Cecilia Brauer, Mr. North, And Kindergarten

by

Considering it’s Saint Patrick’s Day and you’ve already had a few hours’ head start on the drinking festivities, show some support at the Knitting Factory’s fundraiser for the not-for-profit City Reliquary Museum, which houses otherwise overlooked artifacts from subway tokens to L-train paint chips. At this benefit concert catch the New Orleans-style brass band Lucky Chops, glass-harmonica virtuoso Cecilia Brauer (to your left), and other talented folk and bluegrass musicians. Or, join fellow revelers at the Mercury Lounge’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, where Mr. North’s self-described “melodic, passionate rock” gets you all riled up. It’s either that or put that beer-fueled dementia to use at Le Poisson Rouge, where you can move your body anyway you please to Kindergarten’s hollering punk vocals, aggressive guitars, and dance-funk beats.
