Liquid Liquid Will Perform with the Roots on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

Liquid Liquid, one of the finest assemblages of downtown weirdos ever to grace post-punk NYC, will perform with the Roots on Jimmy Fallon’s show on April 2, reports Stupefaction. Once, Liquid Liquid were the band from the mysterious and hard to find 99 Records LPs, sampled on “White Lines (Don’t Don’t Do It)” and a hundred times over since; they reunited in 2008, and we are pleased to report that their demented, manic, unforgiving live show remains very intact. The thought of Questlove battling dual percussion geniuses Dennis Young and Scott Hartley is an exciting one indeed; so is the thought of the mega creepy and mustachioed Liquid Liquid frontman Sal Principato being broadcast in hi-definition into the living rooms of America’s heartland. Expect “Cavern” and rapping.
