Post-punks Love of Diagrams have released one and a half albums of jangly, fuzzed-out guitars and trippy vocals in the States and a few more in their native Australia. Their latest Aussie-only release, Nowhere Forever, sometimes sounds like a lost release from late-’80s Sonic Youth, but bassist Antonia Sellbach’s matter-of-fact vocal style keeps them from drifting into, well, Sonic Youth territory when they start drifting. Best of all, guitarist Luke Horton has a knack for playing the right lead melody at the right time and stopping at a better time, which keeps the noisy washes of sound from becoming overwhelming.
