‘Oktave Presents Claro Intelecto+Samuli Kemppi’

Claro Intelecto makes minimal, dubby techno reminiscent of Basic Channel. With all due respect to the Smiths and Happy Mondays, his 2009 LP, Warehouse Sessions, evoked his native Manchester’s post-industrial bleakness better than anything since Joy Division. Finland’s Samuli Kemppi brings his own sparse dark matter from the likes of Mote Evolver and Ostgut Ton. Local favorite Eric Cloutier and resident Jeff Derringer round things out.
