Yesterday, DNA Info reported that the opening of the new Chelsea outpost of Grimaldi’s would be delayed until the summer, owing to “structural delays” plaguing its new home, the Limelight Marketplace.
However, it looks like DNA Info may have gotten its facts wrong: a rep for the new marketplace has told Grub Street that the pizzeria’s opening date is in fact May 7, when the rest of the Limelight opens to the public.
The rep also provided a list of the shops at the Limelight, and between all of the children’s clothing boutiques, “anti-aging” body care retailers, celebrity bikini waxers, and twee little bakeries, one can only conclude that the real aim of the developers is to turn Chelsea into a satellite location of Fairfield County.
