There’s something piercing about the Polish trumpeter’s eerie music. His horn has a disturbing directness, even when it’s sauntering through innuendo territory. The luminescent laments of the new Dark Eyes make the most hay when they stress their naturally forlorn temperament. Call it the kind of Euro extrapolation that has lots to do with reflective turbulence.
