Soft Shell Crab Season at the Grand Central Oyster Bar Begins Now


Yet another harbinger of spring: soft shell crabs have returned to the menu at Grand Central Oyster Bar. The arrival of the fetishized crustaceans, which hail from Florida, was delayed a bit due to bad weather, according to Grand Central’s chef, Sandy Ingber. Now that they’re here, callinectes sapidus will be available pan-fried, sautéed, or grilled, or as a daily lunch or dinner entree, with a price tag of $30.95 for two.
