To hell with ramps: If you want more proof that spring is gathering steam, then take heart in the fact that as of this weekend, rhubarb and asparagus are now available at the Union Square Greenmarket. And this morning, strawberries also appeared, albeit very briefly. Both the strawberries and rhubarb were spotted by a Fork in the Road operative, who reported that, like the strawberries, the rhubarb was gone almost as quickly as it was set out. The asparagus, however, was plentiful, and happened to taste pretty damn good, too.
