Apparently, we aren’t the only ones perturbed by KFC’s new Buckets for the Cure campaign, which purports to donate 50 cents for each pink bucket sold to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Breast Cancer Action is responding with a campaign of its own. Think Before You Pink asks, “What the Cluck?” and encourages you to tell KFC and Susan G. Komen to “rethink this pinkwashing partnership.” KFC has already muddied its image. It’s a shame that, with this misguided campaign, now Susan G. Komen has, too.
