Mike Keneally Band+the Bryan Beller Band

If there’s such a thing as a prog-rock humanist, Mike Keneally fits the bill. The former Frank Zappa stunt guitarist (and current Dethklok touring thrasher) is a sweet-natured eccentric with mind-boggling chops and an increasingly distinctive writing style that straddles the late FZ and playful Dutch jazzbos such Willem Breuker. Brian Beller is Keneally’s longtime bass partner and, as Keneally’s website observes, “They’re both the same band.”
