The owner of one of the best visual senses in New York, promoter/creator Kenny Kenny whips up tantalizing looks every night that are very Dietrich via space alien, but always different and surprising.
So it makes perfect sense that he’s a photographer too.
At Collective Gallery, on the fifth floor of a Chinatown walkup, Kenny just showed his sensual portraits of nocturnal adventurers like Charles (left) and the drag queen Tabboo! (below) in a fab show called “Bon Vivant in New York.”
As if all that wasn’t cerebral enough, Kenny announced “Thanks to Muffinhead for doing all the printing”; Egyptian drag star Sultana sang an a cappella ballad; and Lavinia Co-op raised money for Nepalese orphans.
