In the age of Facebook, where it feels like everybody knows everybody else online, it’s easy to forget that there’s still a whole segment of sad and creepy people who use the Internet to talk to total strangers in chatrooms (that was so AOL 1996, people!). Comedians Cory Cavin and Josh Lay plan to milk that desperation for all it’s worth in Chatroulette Live. They’ll be chatting with losers around the world in front of a live audience on Chatroulette, a site developed late last year by a Russian teenager, which pairs people randomly for unique one-on-ones. Expect to meet “dorm room dudes, lonely girls, sick men exposing themselves, kids trying to learn English, shut-ins dressed up as cats.” The possibilities are endless.
