JUST HAVING A LAUGH

by

Best known as the original douche-bag boss on the British version of The Office and the ambitious egomaniac on Extras, Ricky Gervais was voted one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2010 for his comic genius, which he brings to the Theater at Madison Square Garden for two nights as a part of his “Out of England 2” tour. The deadpan king, who stole the show at the Golden Globes (“I like a drink as much as the next man—unless the next man is Mel Gibson,” was the joke that sealed the night), is followed by legions of fans who religiously read his blog and listen to his podcast (a Guinness World Record holder for most downloads!). If you thought he tackled every taboo subject imaginable in his first “Out of England” tour (teenage cancer patients, AIDS, and the Holocaust), we have a feeling you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
