The chalk scribblings scrawled on the wooden enclosure around the newly opened Hot Bird proclaim the imminent arrival of Alan Harding’s food truck. On his website, he reveals a few more details about his progress with the truck.
After putting out a call for cooks in late April, Harding claims to have everything he needs to get started, including a two-burner electric stove, two-basket fryer, convection oven, and a two-foot griddle.
“I find I will be cooking in a 4 ft square area. Not bad for a tugboat. Total cost 1000 bucks,” writes the chef. So, it sounds like we can anticipate fried foods, baked goods, and maybe breakfast? In any case, it appears there will be more on the menu than just hot poultry.
