Movies like Xanadu and Boogie Nights may have given dancing on roller skates a bad name, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it chic. The Central Park Dance Skating Association sponsors Dance Skating in the park almost year-round, and now that the weather’s good, this is a great time for skaters and spectators to enjoy the fun. The CDSA sets up a sophisticated sound system, adds some very talented (and energetic) DJs, and then, as their website says, “Just follow your ears!” And just think, you can be the Lady Gaga of roller skating community. At 2:30 through Monday, Skate Circle in Central Park (72nd Street).
