Separated by nearly 30 years, New England saxophonist Paul Flaherty and drummer Chris Corsano—freshly returned to Massachusetts after a half-decade of globe-trotting—continue their now decade-long partnership. Flaherty’s rich, visceral lines, melodic ideas widening into sheets of sound, are the perfect complement to young lion Corsano’s wild resourcefulness encompassing kitchen utensils, melodica, and an assertive ear. The duo will be joined by Manhattan noise-cellist Okkyung Lee, which shouldn’t be a surprise. Also on the bill is fantastically mustached, conceptually magnificent and occasionally musically vaporous ’80s ambient dude James Ferraro.
