Long Island quintet Twin Sister are equally adept at daffy press quotes (“I want to be a demon, I want to have a big knife, and I want to kill a man”) and woozy, jittery, rather pleasantly off-putting indie-pop; hailed as a Next Big Thing by such big-shot prognosticators as L Magazine and, uh, us, the band now offers a live four-song set for Daytrotter, which you can download. “Way less boring Beach House,” is my current shorthand; the slow-motion, remarkably pilot cymbal-bashing breakdown that ends “Ginger” is pretty great. They’re at Glasslands May 28; here’s some recent live pics.
