Morning Links: Arlen Specter Out, Rand Paul In; Another School Attack in China; Kelly Preston and John Travolta Are Expecting!


• Arlen Specter is out, Joe Sestak is in after the Democratic primaries in Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, Rand Paul, son of Ron, said after his Republican win in Kentucky: “I have a message, a message from the Tea Party, a message that is loud and clear and does not mince words. We have come to take our government back.”

Oscar Sandino, 37, a detective at the Queens Narcotics Bureau, was arrested by the FBI yesterday for allegedly coercing two arrested women into having sex with him in exchange for leniency for their crimes.

Chaos continues in Bangkok, though seven protest leaders have announced they will surrender.

• The oil spill in the Gulf might be dangerous to sea turtles. But those tar balls they found in Key West? They’re not from the spill at all. “The source of the tar balls remains unknown at this time.”

• Another day, another school attack in China. This time a group of men armed with knives and cleavers broke into a dorm and started hacking people. This really has to stop.
