Metromix’s restaurant editors round up their favorite picks for this year’s “Hot Plates Live” event. For the bargain price of $15 per ticket, sample the goods from such newcomers as 5 & Diamond, Beba, Dickson’s Farmstand Meats, Lucy’s Whey, Mikey’s Burger, and Vareli. And to make sure you’re not left high and dry, the mixology team from Employees Only will be doling out cocktails made with their new EO Brands house mixers.

Join Alejandro Fernandez of Tinto Pesquera, one of the leading wineries in the Ribero del Duero wine region of Spain, for a $140 four-course pairing dinner. Dishes will include lamb’s tongue salad, wild mushroom tortelli, and roasted Berkshire pork loin, accompanied by such acclaimed vinos as Condado de Haza 2006, Dehesa la Granja 2004, and Pesquera Millenium 1996.
