Alexi Delano made a name for himself in the ’90s in the Lekebusch-Beyer school of harder Swedish techno, but he’s popular with the new kids too, releasing ever-changing minimalist goodies on M_nus and Pokerflat. For a German, Stimming might have an unusual musical biography: He came to techno not through Tresor or Harthouse but through drum & bass and trip-hop. Still, even with the garage influences and organic percussion, his tweaked, jerky minimal house fits right in alongside, say, Perlon records. With Insideout.
