Ah, you gotta love these L.A. girls who ain’t grrls. They’re the toast of Hollywood and you can easily see why; their sound is sunny without being stupid. They’ve found a sweet, agreeable form of shoegaze-pop that doesn’t require ten tons of feedback roaring from a stack of speakers, which out to be a relief to all the shoegaze fans who suffer from tinnitus by now. The ‘Paint girls are now working on their follow-up to their self-released and later Rough Trade-distributed record, so catch ’em now to claim some cool points. With Sherlock’s Daughter.
