Sometimes, it takes the gentlest of breezes to make the whole house of cards come tumbling down. Such was the case at Balthazar, Pastis, and various other Keith McNally restaurants on Sunday, when a truck bearing pastries and breads from McNally’s Englewood, New Jersey, baking facility was stolen during a morning delivery. The Post reports that the restaurants were left clambering for substitutions in time for brunch service — presumably Pulino’s breakfast pizzas weren’t deemed suitable replacements.
