Almost a year still stands between us and the release of Gabrielle Hamilton’s Blood, Bones, and Butter, but Anthony Bourdain tells Grub Street that he is one of the fortunate souls who has already read the Prune chef’s memoir:
“I gotta tell you, I read through it in about a day and a half and it’s the greatest chef memoir ever written in the history of the fucking world. It’s so, so, so great — it’s so much better a book and better written, and she’s so much stronger and more interesting a character than Kitchen Confidential; it puts me and all of my works to shame. I was devastated by how great it is.”
So, yeah, sounds like it’ll be pretty good.
