Dinosaur Bones

You know a band is on the cusp of breaking out when their Google results top the Museum of Natural History’s. This Toronto five-piece (of mostly beardos clad in crisp t-shirts) blends icy pastoralism and prettily layered Brit-rock into three-minute soundscapes on their self-titled EP, from the melancholy “Ice Hotels” to the up-tempo and bluesy “Royalty.” Think of the National and Radiohead’s myopic lovechild and you’ve got ’em down. With U.S. Royalty and Bronze.
